The last set of summer blooms is starting here in Dallas.

Our product improvements keep coming, and I am seeing more great stories written by CEOs who are pushing hard to thrive through the new workplace.

This month I am sharing a few quick takes and some reading lists that can help navigate.

Moving past myths

5 myths that kill team learning and growth:

- You can’t teach that

All of these myths run against science and destroy performance.

In this new “resilience economy” the winners will move beyond these 20th century myths.

Wrangle projects and processes faster

We’ve made the process of building and organizing faster and smoother in our project and process center.

You can hammer out new processes on the fly using a project board, a punch list or even by simply pasting text into place.

You can rearrange assignment and switch the project or process they belong to faster.

And you can get things on to your team weekly or your personal day plan for cross-project prioritization. Check out all the new features here or reach out for a demo.

Re-release of the text genius

One of the managers’ favorites is ResultMaps ability to turn text into projects, action items, deadlines and assignment. We’ve just re-released our TextGenius feature with some accelerators. You can copy/paste or type into your day plan, a project or a column within a process.



What we’re reading

Test, refine and practice your SOPs

This article on constantly refining your Standard Operating Procedures is simple and to the point. Jason Gardener is a former U.S. Navy SEAL, combat leader, and now a leadership instructor and speaker with Echelon Front. He definitely understands how to balance agility and discipline in a high-change environment. If you’d like examples of how I see this mapping over to the business world, (especially via ResultMaps) please reach out.

The Cadence
I recently came across a great talk by David Sacks about his operating cadence...which he names...The Cadence. He’s published it too. The principles align well with ResultMaps and remind me why turning strategy execution into a religious war (thou shalt use no other framework but my framework) is the wrong approach.

Superhuman’s silo-free approach to customer growth and service

Our onboarding process and organization redesign drew inspiration from Superhuman’s approach. I was recently on a Webinar where Vivek from Superhuman talked about organizing a company around customer happiness.

Insanely Simple: The Obsession that Drives Apple's Success

I enjoyed this read for a number of reasons. Aside from discussing obsessive drive to make things simple, it compares and contracts competitor approaches. It’s told by Ken Segall who worked on the Apple account and other companies for Apple’s iconic marketing firm.
